For Your Information
It’s good to know where you’re going and tricks of the area. The home is in a fairly remote area a good distance away from the airport. We are happy to coordinate airport transfers, or pick up anything else you need. However, if you would like to handle those details on your own, we think the following information will be useful for your trip to Sueno de Abuelo!
You’ll need to download the app WhatsApp to use in CR - that is what everybody uses there for communication. The property manager is Nadya +506 8834 9956 and you can contact her with any questions or concerns.
The closest airport is Liberia Guanacaste Airport (LIR) which is about a two-hour drive from the house.
If you arrive in Costa Rica late in the day and are transporting yourself to the house, it may be a good idea to stay in a hotel that night. You can stock up on groceries and last-minute needs before you trek to the house, and that is all much easier to do in the daylight! There is a large grocery store in Liberia, called Megasuper, we recommend getting provisions there before heading to the house.
Once you are at the house, the closest grocery store is Rinde Más (about 35 minutes away) in Nosara, but there is a smaller store where you can get necessities (and a bit more!) in San Juanillo.
While the house has all the modern amenities you could need, you’re still in the jungle, baby! Be prepared for creepy crawlies (hopefully they all stay outside, but if they make their way in, just usher them out.) Costa Rica loves to boast about having over 500,000 different types of wildlife - the majority of those are bugs.
If you are interested in assistance with booking fantastic excursions, arranging transportation and other things to make your trip a breeze, such as having the house stocked with groceries upon your arrival then get in touch with us at jenniferhazelton97@yahoo.com and we’ll handle those details for you.
